July 8th-16th: Clark County 4-H Fair: Thank you for visiting our display at the Fair. We look forward to seeing you next year!
July 23rd, 2011 Silver Creek Clean Sweep: We had a great turnout for the creek sweep, despite the scorching temperatures. Thank you to all of the volunteers and Clarksville Parks and Recreation and Knob & Valley Audubon Society for hosting the event. We hope to see everyone again next year.
September 17, 2011: Rain Gardens for Water Quality Workshop
Participants learned about the benefits rain gardens and tips for installing their own. Other practices for improving water quality were discussed. The first 20 registered participants had the opportunity to purchase a rain barrel kit for half price.
September 22, 2011: Farming for Water Quality Field Day
A small, but interested, group joined us to discuss how you can improve the water quality of our local streams and creeks while increasing productivity on your farm. Participants received a coupon for a free soil test from Jackson-Jennings Co-op, Seymour, IN, and one lucky person received an automatic waterer courtesy of Tractor Supply, Sellersburg, IN. Snacks and refreshments were enjoyed by all!
